3D Mapping by drones of the Flysch of Zumaia in the Geoparkea - Basque Coast

Drone by Drone has mapped part of the Zumaia Flysch in 3D using drones by photogrammetric techniques.

The Spanish drone operator company, through its large fleet of drones, manages to map large areas of land, such as the Flysch. In this case it is an area of about 60Ha or 0.6km2 on which the multicopters and fixed wings drones capture images to generate the digital model of the terrain.

The Flysch of Zumaia is an area of high geological value as it shelters layers of rocks that show us more than 60 million years of the Earth's history. Among the rock formations is a black thin layer that shows the impact of a large asteroid and the great extinction of the dinosaurs about 65 M years ago.

In the video shown below you can see the 3D digital model obtained from the mapping of the area as if we were flying in the drone itself.

Enjoy the flight!
