Drone by Drone has been selected by the British security systems manufacturer Rinicom for flight testing of its new eyeQuad UAV camera.
The eyeQuad UAV camera is an advanced surveillance product featuring four independent image sensors, offering 4 different levels of zoom. The standard focal lengths are 2.95mm, 6.1mm, 12mm and 25mm. The lenses are replaceable.
The eyeQuad UAV supports RC-PWM control for switching between image sensors. Analogue video output can be switched between PAL and NTSC. The image can be flipped and mirrored.
With a weight of 40 grams including lenses and with very similar dimensions to a GoPro Hero 3, the UAV eyeQuad can become a good alternative for surveillance drones.
At the moment, we will begin flight testing on the drone DJI Phantom 2 as the eyeQuad fits perfectly into the DJI H3-2D gimbal of the Gopro, hoping to get impressive results.
