Charco de los Clicos or Laguna Verde from drones in Lanzarote

The known as Green Lagoon or Charco de los Clicos is a spectacular lagoon located near the town of El Golfo, in the municipality of Yaiza on the Canary Island of Lanzarote.

Located in the Natural Park of Los Volcanes of Lanzarote, the Green Lagoon owes its name to the color of its waters, unlike the waters of the ocean that surround it and that contrasts with the reddish rocks of the surrounding land. This greenish color acquires it due to the presence of a type of alga that lives in it.

Surrounded by volcanoes or elevations due to volcanic eruptions, the lagoon is connected to the sea by subterranean cracks, being separated from it by a sandy beach.

The name of the Clics is due to edible seafood called "clicos" very abundant in antiquity, now extinct due to the release of two turtles in the waters of El Golfo.

Enjoy the spectacular aerial view and its mysterious appearance from our drones.
