Drone by Drone participated last week in Iberforesta 2017, which took place in Plasencia, from Monday 26 to Thursday 29 June. Parallel to the Spanish forest fair the 4th Spanish Forestry Congress was held.
The participation of Drone by Drone happened to realize flights of demonstration with multicopters in the zone bounded within the enclosure. In addition, demonstration flights were carried out for agroforestry applications on the site, taking advantage of the area surrounding the fair itself. On this area, to the delight of the attendees, two flights were made with the Sensefly eBee, a fixed-wing dron for technical work. In this case, the flights were made to acquire RGB data (using traditional cameras) and NIR (near-infrared spectrum) data.
Following the completion of the flights, Drone by Drone gave a talk or presentation of the results obtained. The data could be processed in record time and in an insufficient hour already could be exposed to the assistants. In addition, based on these results, Drone by Drone's work in forestry and agriculture was presented, in which drones are a great tool.
Works such as fire monitoring, damage and disaster assessment, irrigation control, pest monitoring, animal and plant species control, environmental impact monitoring, or water basins are just a few of the examples of work being done. Can be performed by drones.
