ResQ Rescue and lifeguard system on beaches through drones

Drone by Drone has developed ResQ rescue and lifeguard system using drones for beaches and coastal coastline.

The system is based on three fundamental devices:

- Bracelets
- Drone
- Control APP

ResQ is designed to be implemented as a rescue system on beaches providing bathers, risk groups, water sports practitioners or even inshore fishermen on a nearby coastal strip.

The bracelets, available to bathers, activate the take-off and provision of assistance by the drone automatically, all controlled by an application available to rescue services and the rescuers themselves. Once the drone, activated by the receipt of the distress notice by a wristband, whose carrier is in distress, takes off and goes to the position of the bracelet. Once the drone arrives at the position of the bather in distress, he throws a float, which serves as the first measure of immediate relief. The drone, would remain in stationary position on the bathers in distress, with sending video signal in real time, until the rescue services come to the rescue.

The system has proven to be very fast, even more than a water motorcycle, being able to detect the emergency and appear in the vertical position of the battered person in a few seconds.

The system has been tested on several beaches in Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, including participating in a simulation of emergencies, demonstrating its effectiveness.

We already have the ideal tool to support lifeguards for this bathing campaign that has just started on our beaches.
