Drone by Drone supports Subealabici in its adventure for Iceland

Drone by Drone supports Subealabici in its new project called "Iceland, Land of Adventure, after the steps of the Basque whalers"

Subealabici was born in 2007 with the purpose of promoting and encouraging the use of the bike as a sustainable transport.

The objective of "Iceland, Land of Adventure, following the steps of the Basque whalers" is to travel by bicycle for four days on the Basque coast stopping in the municipalities with whaling tradition and for three weeks the route of the Basque whalers of the seventeenth century in Iceland . In this way, both societies are reconciled, achieving international dissemination of the Basque customs and culture of yesteryear.

The drone operating company of Bilbao provides logistical support in its stage for Euskadi, with the recording of the march by drones. In addition, for the first time, Subealabici will have a drone delivered by Drone by Drone to make recordings during its route through Iceland. Part of the members of Subealabici have been trained theoretically and practically for the handling of drones, and thus be able to squeeze all their potential in Icelandic lands.

Drone by Drone, along with other companies and institutions such as the Diputación Foral de Álava, the University of the Basque Country, the city council of Plentzia, the City Council of Bermeo, the City Council of Mutriko, the City Council of Deba or the Albaola Shipyard, among others, It has contributed a grain of sand for the adventure to go ahead.

During these past 4 days, the bike ride along the Basque coasts took place, leaving from Hondarribia to finally arrive in Bilbao. A good test for what is to come during the next three weeks in Iceland.

We trust that Arturo Martínez and his companions can enjoy the landscapes of Iceland from a high point of view, as is our drones.
