Drone by Drone in 'Cronica Vasca' representing the drone sector in Basque Country

Drone by Drone has been interviewed for the article in the journalistic medium Crónica Vasca 'The new European legislation expands the drone market in Euskadi'.

During the article, the operating company of UAS or drones of Bizkaia exposes the regulatory changes that have occurred as a result of the entry into force from January 1, 2021 of the European regulations on unmanned aircraft, Delegated Regulation 945/2019 and the Implementing Regulation 947/2019 and its successive modifications.

A regulation that allows the democratization of drones, reducing differences between professionals and recreational workers, and the harmonization of the different regulations of the member states of the European Union, which will result in greater competitiveness between drone operating companies.

Like all regulations, it introduces new improvements in processes for accessing the use of airspace, simplifying administrative tasks and categorizing UAS flights based on the risk assumed in each operation. Although we must emphasize that by democratizing UAS operations among all users, it is recreational operators who are most required by this legislative framework, seeing the need to register as a UAS operator, to meet their own training requirements of each flight category and of having to subscribe civil liability insurance for their drone operations, aspects to which until now they were not obliged under the Spanish legislation materialized in Royal Decree 1036/2017.

Do not stop reading the article, in which other leading operating companies in the Basque Country are also mentioned, such as Sqadrones or Dronak.
