Drone by Drone has participated in the recording of aerial images by drone of the Balmaseda forest fire for Euskal Telebista News.
The Bilbao operating company has been able to access the burned areas, prior coordination with the manned aerial resources present in the area, to demonstrate from the air the largest forest fire in the last thirty years in Bizkaia. The use of drones allows real-time visualization of the affected surface, and even the detection of possible new sources or hot spots, if thermographic cameras are used.
The Balmaseda forest fire, which according to estimates has affected nearly 500 hectares of mountain and wooded land, has been considered extinguished after two days of fighting the fire.
