During the past month of September, Drone by Drone has carried out inspections using drones on critical infrastructures for transport and generation of electric energy in different places in Spain. A preventive work in the face of the storms and squalls that will reach us during this autumn and winter.
The use of drones allows us to provide our clients with very valuable data in order to inventory and maintain their assets and vital elements, being able to carry out visual inspections in places of difficult access and obtaining spectacular resolutions both in visible spectrum and thermographic spectrum photographs.
A very clear example of this type of work is the inspection of high voltage overhead lines or large energy generation facilities, where the pipes and elements are located at height or in places of difficult and unsafe access by means of vertical work.
With our unmanned aircraft, very good performance is achieved, obtaining an overwhelming amount of data, with very good quality, which allows preventive maintenance and planning of corrective actions on the structures or elements involved. This is a technical job, in which the high qualification of our flight teams, both personnel and material, is paramount. It is undoubtedly a rewarding, but also hard, job, detecting possible pathologies or defects that could lead to the loss of an element or the interruption of an essential service for society.
