Drone by Drone has participated in the VI edition of the Provider Program, promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and Tknika with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and encouraging the generation of new businesses providing solutions to the industry of the future from Vocational Training.
Tknika is a center promoted by the Vice-Ministry of Vocational Training of the Department of Education of the Basque Government whose main objective is to contribute to the improvement of standards and quality of FP in Euskadi.
Within the Provider program, the UAS operator company of Bizkaia has held a dissemination and entrepreneurship day entitled 'Applied aerial robotics' for 62 students selected from the 27 FP centers of Bizkaia, in which the drone or UAS has been the main protagonist. The use of unmanned aircraft has been presented as a tool for a multitude of sectors, with many possibilities for growth and innovation. Success stories have been shown in sectors such as audiovisual, civil engineering and topography, precision agriculture, technical inspections, emergencies and protection, etc. All with the idea of promoting innovation among attendees and future entrepreneurs, emphasizing the risks of the business model.
The day has included flight demonstrations whose objective has been to carry out an FPV flight using DJI Avata allowing participants to live an immersive flight experience thanks to FPV glasses. Simulations of technical inspections on different elements have also been carried out, using the DJI Mavic 3T with its powerful sensors.
The day has included the following activities:
- Vital motivational talk by Alain Arteagabeitia
- Entrepreneurship talk based on the Drone by Drone experience
- Aerial photography using the group's drone
- Outdoor flight demonstrations at the BIC Bizkaia in the Zamudio Technology Park.
- Indoor flight demonstrations by students of the Drone Specialization Course at FP Bidasoa
- In addition, students have visited the facilities of Ventijet and MAI CDMO, two innovative companies located in BIC Bizkaia, where they have been able to see real applications of these technologies.
All this to show students and teachers of FP centers the complete workflow and the results that can be obtained.
