Drone by Drone has participated as a collaborating company in the 16th edition of the First Lego League Euskadi at the University of Deusto.
In collaboration with Innobasque, the event organiser, and the University of Deusto, as part of the Opengune activities, a drone piloting workshop was held throughout the morning for all attendees who wanted to fly minidrones or toy drones in an area designated for this purpose, with the corresponding advice from our flight instructors.
In addition, for the first time, demonstration flights were carried out outdoors with professional drones, from the football field at the University of Deusto. Flights were carried out with the DJI Mavic 3T, allowing those present to appreciate the incredible capabilities of this drone equipped with a powerful zoom and a thermal imaging camera.
The Technical Director of Drone by Drone has presented the award for the best coach of the Tournament, which has gone to the coach of the JM BILBO team from Jesus Maria Bilbao Ikastetxea.
And to round off the day, we have delivered the envelopes of the two winning teams of this edition, by means of a drone, during the trophy presentation ceremony, to the delight of the attendees.
The winners of this edition at the Bilbao headquarters have been:
1st Prize to the Winner INGENIERA SOY: TECNODIVER BERRIO-OTXOA from the Berrio-Otxoa School in Bilbao (Bizkaia)
2nd Prize to the Winner INNOBASQUE: JM BILBO from Jesus Maria Bilbao Ikastetxea (Bizkaia)

In addition to the Bizkaia drone operator company, multiple institutions, companies and organizations have collaborated with the development of the First Lego League. The institutions that collaborate are the Department of Education of the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Álava, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, Fomento de San Sebastián, Bilbao Ekintza – Bilbao City Council and the Mondragón City Council.
The Basque BIoDesign Center, BC Materials and Ikerlan are collaborating as technological research and development centres.
