Drone by Drone provided drone broadcasts for the 8th Euskelec competition held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca and Plaza de España.
Euskelec is a competition, organized by Tknika, in which students from vocational training centers in the Basque Country and invited centers design and build fully electric vehicles based on a common drive system (motor, motor controller, and batteries). The competition's objective is to enhance student teamwork and to use experimental and creative activities as a pedagogical element for the technical knowledge of electric vehicles. This year, 24 centers from regions such as the Basque Country, Castilla La Mancha, Cantabria, Castilla y León, and Catalonia (which participated for the first time) tested their technical skills and ingenuity at this major event. The final phase of Euskelec takes place on a closed urban circuit, allowing the public to see the progress of the electric cars up close, where the vehicles compete in different tests:
- Acceleration test
- Slalom test
- Braking test
- Endurance test
The Bilbao-based drone operator participated in the live drone broadcast of the tests carried out on the circuit in Vitoria, led by the Somorrostro Training Center, with 5G telecommunications deployment.
It was an event we enjoyed, demonstrating that the use of drones in urban environments and in controlled airspace is possible, as long as the limitations specified by current law regarding unmanned aircraft are met.
The awards ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Minister of Vocational Training of the Basque Government, Jon Labaka, who congratulated the Cantabrian center Nuestra Señora de los Remedios de Guarnizo, the winner of the overall test.

We can only congratulate the organizers and all the participants and collaborators for the great atmosphere generated and the work done by the students from the participating schools. At this year's edition, the large audience was able to enjoy the competitive atmosphere and the sporting events taking place on the urban circuit.
