Drone by Drone has had the opportunity to conduct aerial drone operations off the coast of Bizkaia for a short documentary produced by BBC StoryWorks for the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature), as part of the project "Living Legacy – Basque Country."
Specifically, drone flights were carried out in the Bermeo and San Juan de Gaztelugatxe areas to capture the different coastal habitats from the air, along with the forests and flora present up to the cliffs. During the filming, there were significant swell conditions, so the wind, waves, and the force of the sea will also be featured in the audiovisual production.
It should be emphasized that the drone flights were carried out in accordance with current legislation, especially considering the potential natural and environmental impacts in a UAS-sensitive geographical area such as the protected biotope of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and the Urdaibai SPA.
