The Bizkaia-based drone operator has been pleased to provide aerial drone footage for the new production by EITB and El Correo (Vocento), which features stories from journalists from both outlets who covered the most shocking crime stories in the Basque Country.
This new documentary series, which, over eight chapters, reconstructs the events with archival footage, interviews with experts, and the sources who participated in the investigation.
Episodes in the series include the case of "Sabino the Legionnaire," which begins with the discovery of human remains on Arrigunaga beach (Getxo). "The Trap," which recounts the murder of Josetxu, who was murdered on what appeared to be just another Badoo date. The murders of the False Shaolin Monk in his gym in downtown Bilbao, and the disappearances of several girls in Bizkaia between 1999 and 2001 in the episode "Don't Go Out Alone at Night," which sowed panic among parents with teenage daughters. The series will also address the series of deaths of men in Bilbao who had used a gay dating app and the tragic murder of Nagore Laffage during the 2008 San Fermin festival, among others.
Each episode delves into the details of crimes that shocked society, exploring not only the progress of the investigations but also the circumstances surrounding each case. From events motivated by deception and obsession to cases that unleashed collective fear, the series focuses on how these crimes marked a before and after in the collective memory and in the approach to security and justice in the Basque Country.
