Drone by Drone has been selected as a finalist in the second edition of the Govtech Araba program.
Specifically, the Bizkaia-based UAS operator has been chosen as a finalist to address the following challenges posed by the Álava Provincial Fire and Rescue Service:
How can we, through technology, strengthen surveillance and monitoring capabilities in emergency interventions such as forest fires, fires in industrial environments, and rescues in the natural environment?
A presentation of the proposed solution was given, combining the advantages of drones with their automation through strategically located nests or bases. The proposal includes consulting and system implementation, as well as a pilot test, which represents a significant technical and regulatory challenge.
At Drone by Drone, we believe that drones amplify the detection capabilities of any early warning system, allowing for the monitoring of a large area of land from the air at any time, even in difficult-to-access locations. This, combined with autonomous flight, exponentially increases prevention efforts without requiring significant human resources.
We offer the Provincial Council of Álava our expertise in developing procedures and implementing these types of drone-based systems (UAS), as well as our experience in training and advising fire departments and law enforcement agencies for non-EASA flights.
We are confident that drone technology will gradually be implemented in Álava, thanks to initiatives like this, especially for emergency response, as we at Drone by Drone have been doing for over 10 years.
