Drone by Drone will participate in the 17th edition of the First Lego League Euskadi, which will take place next Saturday, February 28th.
In collaboration with Innobasque, the event organizer, and the University of Deusto, as part of the Opengune activities, we will be holding a drone piloting workshop all morning at the Xabier Kirolgunea sports complex on the University of Deusto's Bilbao Campus. All attendees will be able to fly mini-drones or toy drones in a designated area, with guidance from our flight instructors.
In addition, we will be conducting outdoor demonstration flights with professional drones from the University of Deusto's football field. All those present will be able to see our drones' maneuvers live and view the images captured in real time, and will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about unmanned aircraft operations.
This year, the First Lego League Euskadi celebrates its 17th edition, organized uninterruptedly by the Basque Innovation Agency. It is an educational program that promotes STEAM dynamics, lasting six months and involving nearly 3,000 schoolchildren forming 106 teams. Through this year's challenge, called the 'Unearthed Challenge', the teams will explore the past to discover the future.
In addition to the Bizkaia-based drone operator, numerous institutions, companies, and organizations collaborate with the First Lego League. These include the Basque Government's Department of Education, the Provincial Councils of Álava, Bizkaia, and Gipuzkoa, Fomento de San Sebastián, Bilbao Ekintza – Bilbao City Council, and the Mondragón City Council.
The Basque BioDesign Center, BC Materials, and Ikerlan collaborate as research and technological development centers.
The companies collaborating on this edition are Alzola, Ausolan, BBK, CAF, CimaSUB Danobatgroup, Doplay, Drone by Drone, Erreka, Fagor, Iberdrola, Krean, Laboral Kutxa, LKS Next, Lortek, Maier, Mondragon Corporación, Salto, Multiverse, Tabakalera, and Vital Kutxa.
We encourage you to attend the event, which attracts not only participants but also those interested in fostering a motivating work environment that encourages attendees to discover and experience alternative learning methods.
Remember, Saturday, February 28th, starting at 10:00 AM at the University of Deusto's Bilbao campus, near the football field.
