Drone by Drone participated as a collaborating company in the 17th edition of the First Lego League Euskadi, held at the University of Deusto. At the Deusto University's Bilbao campus alone, a total of 20 schools from across Bizkaia participated, comprising 49 teams (30 Challenge + 19 Explore) with a total of 414 students.
In collaboration with Innobasque, the event organizer, and the University of Deusto, a drone piloting workshop was held throughout the morning as part of the Opengune activities. This workshop was open to all attendees who wished to fly mini-drones or toy drones in a designated area, with guidance from our flight instructors.
Demonstration flights were also conducted outdoors with professional drones from the University of Deusto's football field, allowing the footage to be viewed in real time on the event's screens. The flights were conducted using the DJI Matrice 4TD, allowing attendees to appreciate the incredible capabilities of this drone, equipped with a powerful zoom, thermal imaging camera, laser rangefinder, and onboard real-time AI module.
The Technical Director of Drone by Drone presented the award for best coach of the Tournament to the coach of the IES Trueba team.
And to conclude the day, we delivered the envelopes to the two winning teams of this edition via drone during the awards ceremony, much to the delight of the attendees.
