Due to our participation in the PUMAR-IA innovation project, the local television station TELE 7 interviewed us to learn more about the work we are carrying out under this project, which combines the use of drones and AI for the cider apple sector.
The PUMAR-IA project, coordinated by the Smart City Asturias Cluster and GAIA, focuses on estimating the harvest and ripening of cider apples using Artificial Intelligence and remote sensing with UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems). It investigates the application of advanced technologies to improve the management, productivity, and sustainability of traditional apple orchards in Asturias and the Basque Country.
In addition to the aforementioned clusters, we are collaborating with the companies Bizkares Biosolutions and Forest4Future Ingeniería for the acquisition of aerial data and the generation of agronomic algorithms.
