Drone by Drone was pleased to actively participate in the 2nd Innovation Project Fair organized by the Somorrostro Training Center. This event showcased 21 innovative projects developed in collaboration between vocational training centers and state-owned companies.
The day began with an official welcome from Ainara Leiba, Councilor for Education of the Muskiz City Council, along with Javier Laiseca, Director of the Somorrostro Training Center.
The fair was officially opened by Jon Labaka, Deputy Minister of Vocational Training of the Basque Government, who emphasized the importance of these types of initiatives in promoting the Basque Vocational Training model, which focuses on connecting with society and the productive sector.
The participation of the Biscayan drone company consisted of supporting the static display, which detailed aspects of the project we are carrying out using drones, 5G, and AI, and conducting a live demonstration of a real-time transmission over a local 5G network, with cameras and drones, all viewed on the center's various screens for the enjoyment of the spectators.
Throughout the day, more than 1,000 Vocational Training, Secondary, and Baccalaureate students from the Somorrostro Training Center visited the different stands, where they were able to learn firsthand about the innovative projects and see live demonstrations.
We are proud to contribute to the consolidation of this innovation fair as a meeting place for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration between schools and companies, and introducing students to the emerging technologies that are transforming industry and society.
