Drone by Drone has delivered the training course for obtaining practical UAS certifications for the European standard scenarios, STS-01 and STS-02 (or STS-EU).
With the arrival of good weather, the Bizkaia-based drone operator had the opportunity to train its first group of pilots under the European standard scenarios, in accordance with the new training requirements, following the expiration of the option to fly under the national standard scenarios.
The main feature of the STS-01 and STS-02 training is that it must be conducted using drones with C5 and C6 class markings, respectively, along with drones capable of manual flight (without GNSS assistance) for a series of maneuvers.
Furthermore, as a certified operator for practical training, we can also perform practical conversions from the old STS-ES-01 and STS-ES-02 practical certificates to the new European standard. In principle, according to AESA, there is no deadline for converting national practical accreditations.
We will likely launch a new application period in late April or early May, so we encourage you to apply and take advantage of this high-quality training.
