The Gabriel and Galán reservoir located in the province of Cáceres is formed by the damming of the Alagón river waters. Its name is due to the poet Jose Maria Gabriel and Galán at the request of their relatives, majority landowners of the dominions pertaining to the old the House of Alba and Granadilla, and that they ceded most of the lands on which the reservoir.

The village of Granadilla was completely abandoned in 1965 after the construction of the dam. Nowadays, it is visitable but it is not inhabited.

The drones of Drone by Drone, working for Cuarto Milenio program, have been able to capture the beauty of this place from the air. Undoubtedly, an idyllic place.
