Video clip using drones from the Manchasol thermosolar concentration plant.
Manchasol is a solar concentration power station with cylindrical-parabolic collector mirrors equipped with a sun orientation mechanism rotating on its own longitudinal axis.
The novel facility consists of two thermal power plants: Manchasol-1 and Manchasol-2, which occupy a total area of 400 hectares. The capacity of the installation is 99.8MW.
The plant supplies power on a continuous and scheduled basis since 2016 managed by the Cobra Group. The thermal storage capacity is 7.5 hours, thanks to the use of molten salts, avoiding an estimated CO2 production of 299,000 tons per year.
