Recently we have received a visit to our offices of a very particular aircraft. It is the water drone Splash Drone 3 from the manufacturer SwellPro.
The Splash Drone 3 is a drone resistant to water, designed and manufactured to withstand the inclement weather in the form of rain and both immersion in fresh water or salt water. For this, the drone has a fuselage made of reinforced ABS 3 mm thick, water resistant to ensure a perfect water seal, making it submersible for long periods of time.
All external parts are made of high quality stainless steel and its high power 620kv motors are specially sealed and coated to ensure maximum resistance to salt water corrosion. Its level of resistance to IP67 water, allows filming under water although it is not a submarine since it lacks movements under water.
The main functions of this drone are those related to specialized aerial operations on the coastal line or support in recreational fishing tasks. From surveillance for emergency bodies to the possible shipment of small loads for emergency situations. Due to its modular nature, the Splash Drone 3 in its different versions allows to couple the payload that best satisfies the operator in each situation, with different camera possibilities and a load release module with a capacity of up to 1kg.
With a flight autonomy of approximately 16min for a LiPo battery of 5200mAh, this drone of just over 2kg of weight at takeoff becomes a good tool compared to other competitive solutions.
