Drone by Drone is an entity recognized by the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) for practical training of National Standard Scenarios in a Specific Category, as established in the EU Execution Regulation 947/2019.
The Bilbao UAS operating company has been recognized in a list published by AESA as a recognized entity for the practical training of the national standard scenarios, STS-ES-01 and STS-ES-02. Therefore, remote pilots who need to fly in a specific category under the standard scenarios mentioned, will be able to obtain their practical training accreditation after passing the course taught by Drone by Drone.
We recall that the national standard scenarios for the specific category allow operations within visual range (VLOS) to be carried out over a controlled land area in a populated environment and to perform operations beyond visual range (BVLOS) with airspace observers over a controlled land area. in a sparsely populated environment. Corresponding to LEVEL 3 training established by AESA in its guide on 'UAS Distance Pilot Training Competencies'.
It is a pride to be able to offer our students this practical training as an entity recognized by AESA, becoming one of the first operating companies to achieve it in Spain, along with some thirty other entities. In this way we make possible a claim by drone operators, which since December 2017 with the publication of Royal Decree 1036/2017 legally provided us with the possibility of imparting and certifying drone piloting training, although without real effects due to the Lack of implementation of the corresponding procedure, then only reserved for training organizations authorized by AESA, such as ATO's and Ultralight Schools.
Training for entities that carry out NON-EASA operations, such as those of the Security Forces and Bodies and Search and Rescue or Fire Fighting, continue to be based on what is established in RD1036 / 2017 for which we also offer training, as we have been doing. until January 1, 2021 under the umbrella of an organization in accordance with Annex VII of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1178/2011, of November 3, 2011 (ATO), ultralight school or flight school without engine.
