Drone by Drone at #CES2023 in Las Vegas

Drone by Drone has had the opportunity to attend CES in Las Vegas. The director of operations of Drone by Drone and inveterate technologist, Jordi Monedero, has attended the 2023 edition, considered the most influential technological event in the world and a testing ground for cutting-edge technologies and global innovators, among which drones or Unmanned aircraft play a determining role.

CES 2023 is 70% larger than last year's show, with more than 3,200 exhibiting companies, including 1,000 startups, showcasing the latest technologies in transportation and mobility, accessibility technologies, electric vehicles, digital health, sustainability, Web3, metaverse and much more.

Among the technological innovations presented at the fair, and that most interest us, the main drone manufacturers stand out, with the absence of DJI. The main news and novelties:

- AUTEL ROBOTICS: It has presented the Autel EVO Max 4T, a direct competitor to the DJI M30T, with a spectacular multiple camera, RGB and thermographic, with zoom up to 108x at 4k, awarded with the BESTOFCES2023 award from Videomaker and dronerushcom. There have been no shortage of nests or NESTs for the range of Autel Evo and Autel Dragonfish models, allowing the autonomous operation of these aircraft.

- SKYDIO: It has been awarded with honors for the Skydio Scout product, whose technology allows the operator to fly a set distance and height from the Skydio Enterprise Controller or the Skydio Beacon while in motion, all without having to manually operate the drone. The videos of the drone in operation are spectacular.

Additionally, manufacturers like DroMii have introduced drones and artificial intelligence software to create detailed road maps. After capturing 4k aerial photos, the CfSM software detects and removes moving objects from the road to provide a clear picture of road conditions for infrastructure management administrations and navigation systems.

Also present was Marine Drone Tech, a South Korean company that focuses on last-mile maritime logistics by delivering ship supplies by air.

In the realm of U-Space and ATC services, Skye Air Mobility, an India-based drone logistics company, has launched its Skye UTM platform, showcasing what it calls one of the "world's most advanced UTM platforms", which comes with numerous data layers for drone operators and interested administrations.

In addition, Flyability, the creators of the Elios 3 specialized confined space drone, has been present at CES to promote the documentary about the effects of climate change and the data taken by the Elios 3 with LIDAR sensor in Iceland.
