Drone by Drone has participated in the conference 'The future is already business: Drones Business opportunities from a bird's eye view' organized by the Euskadi Network of Technology Parks.
The technological meeting in which unmanned aircraft have been the protagonists, was held on June 23 with the assistance of numerous companies and representatives of companies from the Network of Technology Parks of Euskadi (Parke).
The program has included a representation of drone companies from the Basque Country exposing the different utilities that drones have to generate business, in areas as diverse as emergencies, precision agriculture or industrial inspections.
Drone by Drone, represented by its Technical Director, has made a presentation about the use of drones or UAS in emergencies and catastrophes, presenting examples of real use in the various events that occurred in Bizkaia, such as the Berango fires in 2015, the landslides of slopes in Ondarroa (2016), Larrabetzu (2018), Trabakua (2021) or Berriz (2021) and the landslide of the Zadibar landfill in 2020. Use cases have been exposed in which solutions based on Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Vision, and the use of 5G technologies for live broadcasting in the field of security.
On behalf of Alerion, Ibon Diez has focused on 'Inspections and artificial intelligence in the energy sector', while Luis Alberto Gubía, from Airestudio, has focused on the 'Application of Drone data to Engineering Projects and Infrastructure Maintenance '
To close, David Ríos Morentín, Vicomtech's Security Business Manager, gave a presentation entitled 'Artificial Intelligence for security: Value-added services on autonomous platforms'.
After carrying out the conference and after having resolved the doubts and questions raised by the attendees, it is clear that the drones or unmanned aircraft are carrying out work in our environment, without any evidence of the importance of the work that is carried out. carried out through them, managing to generate value opportunities, focused on efficiency, environmental sustainability and economic profitability compared to traditional solutions. In just a few years, they have gone from being considered the future to being a true business opportunity in the present, offering technologically advanced and innovative solutions in areas such as security, construction, infrastructure, communication, maintenance, agriculture, the environment or logistics.
It is clear that the network of drone companies in the Basque Country is made up of a competent and technologically advanced group, in which we are proud to find ourselves.
