Drone by Drone has provided through our UAS the live broadcast for EiTB of the presentation of the Tour de France 2023 teams that took place in Bilbao, within the activities of the Grand Depart 2023 Pays Basque.
The Bizkaia drone operating company has broadcast some incredible aerial images in a privileged environment, with the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao as an exceptional witness.
The meteorological conditions have not been ideal for the emission of the images or for carrying out the flights, with a moderate wind from the north and intermittent light showers. Even so, we hope that the runners, those attending the presentation and the television viewers have been able to enjoy the great event organized in Bilbao by the local administrations, the media and the Tour de France itself. After many initial tests and a lot of effort, mainly due to obtaining flight permits and coordination with the different organizations involved, we believe that the contribution of drones in this type of event highlights the beautiful surroundings of the Ría de Bilbao, the Guggenheim Museum and the entire Abandoibarra area.
