Drone by Drone has taken aerial images using drones or UAS for EiTB's information services during this month's spring tides, showing the impressive low-tide views in the estuary of the Bilbao estuary, in the area of Getxo and Santurtzi. The images were broadcast on Teleberri and Gaur Egun last Friday, September 29.
From a drone view you can see the retreat of the sea and the large areas that are exposed on our coastlines, where remains or rock formations that are not very visible the rest of the year often emerge.
Regarding the possibility of using drones in these circumstances, it is worth mentioning that intertidal archeology work can be carried out, identifying old wrecks or structures of cultural interest, being able to reconstruct them in 3D for study by technicians.
