Drone by Drone, represented by our colleague Jordi Monedero, has participated in the STEAM SARE 2023 conference organized by the Department of Education of the Basque Government.
The event, framed within the STEAM Euskadi strategy, has had the collaboration of Innobasque and the participation of Elhuyar. The meeting is aimed at 4th year ESO students, representing an innovative meeting that aims to promote scientific-technological vocations among students.
More than 800 4th year ESO students from 14 educational centers in the Basque Country gathered at the BEC, with around 90 STEM professionals from 40 Basque entities (companies, universities and research centres).
The Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu participated in the event, accompanied by the Minister of Education Jokin Bildarratz, the Vice Minister of Education, Begoña Pedrosa, the Vice Minister of Vocational Training, Jorge Arévalo, the Vice Minister of Universities and Research, Adolfo Morais, and the president of Innobasque, Manuel Salaverria.
The day pursues two fundamental objectives:
- On the one hand, help 4th ESO students in their educational and professional choice, showing the diversity of STEM professions through direct contact with professionals.
- On the other hand, inspire vocations and professional aspirations in STEAM fields, with special attention to young students.
In addition to the Bilbao drone operating company, entities and companies such as Gestamp, Aernnova Aerospace, Arteche, CIC EnergiGUNE, ITP Aero, Tecnalia, Mercedes-Benz, Irizar, Petronor, UPV/EHU and BCAM (Basque) participated in the event. Center for Applied Mathematics).
As always, for Drone by Drone it is a pleasure to be able to participate in these dynamics, in which students can raise academic and professional questions, sharing on our part the motivations and personal interests to carry out the work that we currently carry out.
