The Salto del Nervion from a drone view for EiTB news

Drone by Drone has made aerial recordings using drones in 'Salto del Nervión' for the EiTB information services.

After the persistent rains that occurred last week, and taking advantage of a small window of good weather, the UAS operating company from Bilbao has traveled to Salto del Nervión, to show the majesty of one of the highest waterfalls in Europe, being the highest in Spain with its 222m drop.

The 'Salto del Nervión' is located in the gorge of the Delika river, on the border between the provinces of Burgos, Araba and Bizkaia, and once past the salto, the river is renamed Río Nervión, to become, very close to its mouth, the the Bilbao estuary.

The flying conditions in the area are never easy, since the dates in which the jump carries water are preceded by storms and as it is a high area, the presence of wind is always assured. Despite this, the Drone by Drone staff who traveled have enjoyed a bit of sun and moderate wind, accompanied by impressive views due to the high visibility prevailing in the area at the time of the recordings.
